Concept update

The texts in this section are obviously incomplete, as while the field has remained cohesion+differentiation with existence as their coupling, integration has become the operation of cohesion which has always struck me as being the case, and articulation the operation of differentiation with experience as their coupling. 

Cohesion+differentiation as field = existence, and integration+articulation=experience, where cohesion is structurally fundamental to existence, and differentiation to experience.  

I think the structure I arrived at is rather whiteheadian in character, but I have yet to read Process and Reality in its entirety. I only know a little, and I don't have what I would define adequate knowledge of process philosophy, but I think it can be mapped onto whitehead's metaphysics, or at least positioned against it.

Phenomenology is also relevant, so Husserl, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty. Hegel also sound interesting, as does Eliade's Sacred and Profane, and maybe his History of Religions, so that's also something to investigate.

I believe Socrates was correct, and knowledge of virtue is virtue, because knowledge has to be integrated before it can count as knowledge. It is integration that organises behavior and flows habitually, and not habituation that makes for virtuous behavior. Unintegrated knowledge of virtue has the potential of not being truly aligned with virtue. 

I am also looking into the purpose of language, because it is related to articulation, and phenomenologically it helped me calibrate consciousness towards Reality, so philosophy of language is interesting for this reason. I think linguistics is relevant. Wittgenstein is also on my to read list. 

I am also obviously aiming towards normative ethics.  

Basically, the metaphysics as I see it now touches on epistemology, ethics, hermeneutics and semiotics, philosophy of language and linguistics, phenomenology, process philosophy, philosophy of mind and neuroscience in relation to it, information and systems theory, and probably a touch of physics.

Mapping onto and positioning against the literature is a time and energy consuming process though, but as a sketch, whatever is in this section still has some substance maybe, and it is at least part of my process of abstraction and reasoning outwards. 

Oh and reading philosophy as a woman...I keep making notes related to patriarchal structures of reasoning. I want to nail the whole philosophy of mind I've read so far to a wall and throw knives at it. Ridiculous.
